Rodeo consists of many events and is fun for both fans and athletes.

Rodeo has increased drastically in popularity and continues to grow.  Many of the athletes who compete in rodeo or those who attend rodeos find it addicting. Everything from the atmosphere, to the crowd, to the competition. Rodeo is a life style for many and a love.

In the Adirondacks, that means the Painted Pony Rodeo with cowboys and cowgirls galore.  Kick off the evening with an awesome BBQ Buffet, then dust off your boots and mosey on over to the corral, for a real Championship Rodeo. The biggest rodeos on the world are in the USA, Canada, Brazil and Australia.  Upstate NY is a great place to see your first rodeo ... or to continue feeding your passion.

                                                                                         Rodeo Basics

Rodeo is a competitive sport that arose out of the working practices of cattle herding.  It was based on the skills required of cowboys in the western United States. Today it is a sporting event that involves horses and other livestock, designed to test the skill and speed of the cowboys and cowgirls.

American rodeo is the official state sport of Wyoming, South Dakota, and Texas. The iconic silhouette image of a "Bucking Horse and Rider" is a federal and state-registered trademark of the State of Wyoming.

The traditional season for competitive rodeo runs from spring through fall, while the modern professional rodeo circuit runs longer, and concludes with the PRCA National Finals Rodeo (NFR) in Las Vegas, Nevada, in December.
